A day at the Dinosaur Museum

This past Tuesday we went to the Dinosaur Museum with my mom, Felicia, my friend Heidi, her daughter Aliyah and Heidi's nephews Carter and Tommy. It was $2 Tuesday and it was packed. Jaxon loved seeing all the different stuff that they had there. Jaxon and Carter got to be great friends. Thanks to my mom and Felicia for helping me out so much with the kids. It sure is nice to have some help. I thought the museum was nice, and worth $2 however I wouldn't have paid $10 to go to it. Jaxon is a little young at this point to really appreciate any of the fossils or anything like that, but it was great for $2. Thanks Jan for the info. I never would have known about it had it not been for your blog.

New Projects!!

So I have decided that I like clips in Brynlee's hair more than headbands. I figured that I could make them for a lot cheaper then buying them from someone. Plus I enjoy it. Here are a few of the clips. (I'm still experimenting so they aren't the best but they will get better as I do more of them.)

Slideshow details!!

Ok so I'm loving this new slideshow thing. I just figured out how to do it. And because I have so many pictures I figured it's easier to do it this way. The bottom slideshow is all about Jaxon. He wasn't feeling too great this week and so there are some pics of him and the "activities" we participated in. Mostly we just sat around the house watching movies and cartoons. In 2 of the pics I told him to put his shorts on and I came out to the shorts on his head. He is so funny! I love the little guy.

The top slideshow are pictures of the zoo. Cami and James were in town and so we went to the zoo with them, their family and my family. Jaxon was not feeling well so he didn't enjoy it as much as he would have otherwise. Notice the elephant crossing his legs and then the next pic the kids are mimicking him. So cute!!

Just a quick update. Brynlee has hit some major milestones these last few weeks. She started to sit up on her own (from belly to behind) on July 21st. She really started to crawling on Aug. 1st. She now says "mama". That started on July 21st. She got her first tooth on Aug. 4th. And she started to pull herself up to things on Aug. 4th. The little buggar just does everthing all at once. There is no resting in between. She is getting so big and it is so much fun to watch her grow and develop. I do have to admit that I miss the earlier months of her life too (because we all secretly don't want our kids to grow up) but I know that she has to do these things. It is a natural part of life. We all did it and I'm sure our parents felt the same way about not wanting us to grow up. I love every stage of my kids life. Even when they are 2 and talking back to me:)
Sorry about all the dates. I use this a my journal kind of and this is so that I will remember when I go to write them down in her baby book.
